Got Chihuahua ???

Welcome to akc-chihuahuas.com.  I only raise chihuahuas.  I have placed the most precious adorable chihuahuas across the United States from the east coast to the west coast.

Formerly knows as www.pamperedpupcouture.com, which was our clothing line for small pets.  In realization, I don't have enough time for my chihuahuas and my clothing line.  You can click on the Pampered Pup Couture tab and see some of our designs I created and labeled myself.  I no longer sew now, so no orders are accepted.

My chihuahuas are well raised and taken care of - spoiled to the max!  All of my Moms and Dads receive just as much love as the pups!  No short cuts whatsoever.  I have a very small kennel (no puppy mill!!! these chihuahuas live the good life!).  There is a doggy door for the adult dogs to jump in and out of the air conditioned/heated house that they live in, as often as they please.  And when they go indoors to their "bedroom" they have a big fluffy bed to sleep on.   All pregnancies are planned.  I know when each girl will have her season and I have planned ahead of time whom I wish to father the litter.  And while the moms are pregnant until they wean the babies, they are inside my home receiving constant care while with their babies.  The babies never step on grass until full vaccinated, and suggest you as the new puppy owner continue this :)  All pups are well socialized and go on car rides.  So they will be well adjusted to a normal lifestyle (which would include the stereo, the vacuum cleaner, children, cats, an English Bulldog, last but not least will wish to be spoiled and babied throughout their life).

I have been around chihuahuas my whole life.  My mom was a breeder of chihuahuas only also, for 35 years.  Together we boast 52 years of experience.  I have personally been raising them for 17 years.  I love all my dogs and want to share their fine qualities with other familes searching for the perfect chihuahua.  If you are looking for a pet, show dog, or an addition to your breeding program, I am happy to assist.  And I'm sure I do not have to remind people whom are showing dogs already, but there are alot of breeders that will tell people this pup is "show quality", this is really hard to say this until 6 months old.  Although a breeder with many years experience may know one that has good potential.  Please be careful with breeders whom tell you stuff to try and persuade you to get a pup.  I will never push a pup on no one.  I want you to want the pup FOREVER!  And also through adult stages.  If you get what you genuinely want that pup will have the "good life".  And that is what I am after.  The best possible family for my pups.  This is what is important.  They have the "good life" and that is the way I want them to continue their life.  I'd rather them stay with me and be taken care of then talk someone into buying what they do not want and then having the pup given away to anyone, let the dog stray away, not taking care of it, and so forth.  If you get the pup you are looking for, you are going to love it forever!  And all of my pups are so loving as they are handled with gentle loving care from birth and you can tell when you get a gentle baby.  There is nothing like it!  Please make sure a chihuahua is what you are wanting because they can have the life span up to 18 years old.  They are the sweetest adorable babies ever!

"Teacup" or "PocketBook" chihuahua are terms I have learned over the years from customers looking for a very small chihuahua.  That is all they truely are, tiny chihuahuas.  But I do know what people are looking for when this term is used.  They are only registered as chihuahuas, that's it.  The term identifies the smallest of the smallest dog in the world already.  Alot of breeders list breeders that recognize the term teacup chihuahua or pocketbook chihuahua or microtiny chihuahua as bad breeders, THAT'S NOT TRUE.   If I did not recognize what a customer asked for by name after personally breeding them for 17 years, well then I think I would be a bad breeder or just plain stupid all together.  And then when you find these breeders displaying this, notice each and everytime, they use the term themselves.  So, that said, a chihuahua is registered as a chihuahua.  They can be very tiny and they can be average size.   Be careful when you chose a breeder, there are so many good ones out there.  The sad thing is there are so many more, that are not good ones.  If you want an extremely small chihuahua and I have one, I will let you know.  If I do not have one, then I will tell you that I do not.  When people say that  the tinies are runts bred to runts!!  Not true again, in my life I have never bred a 2 pound female chihuahua.  And would question anyone that would.  I have bred all these years, and cannot see HOW or WHY someone would breed a 2 pound female.   Then you have breeders that put down the "tiny" chihuahua as unhealthy, when in fact they have just as good as chance of being healthy as the average chihuahua.  I find they just tell people this because they do not care to give their time to help a smaller one along.  And then some never see a tiny.  And you cannot breed just for tinies, NO WAY.  Chihuahuas are like boxes of chocolate too, you never know EXACTLY what you are going to get, you may have an idea if you do a repeat breed to the same pair, but no guarantees.  So do your homework, find a good breeder.  Use your 6th sense (common sense) when dealing with breeders.  All of them!
